Doctors’ Hospital of Williamsburg by Riverside Health Systems: The campus includes medical offices, ambulatory care, 40 beds, and urgent care. Construction of the newly approved hospital will begin in 2010.
The two-story hospital will be designed to accommodate expansion in case it's needed in the future. The hospital includes an intensive-care unit and two operating rooms.

The Hampton University Proton Therapy Institute (HUPTI) is bringing the latest, most precise cancer-fighting technologies to Virginia.
HUPTI is the first proton therapy institute in the Mid-Atlantic Region, and the only such facility in Virginia. The $225 million, start-of-the-art research and treatment center will treat over 2,000 patients per year including prostate, breast, lung, eye and pediatric cancers. It is the first proton center nationally to provide proton-specific medical career training at a variety of levels, from radiation therapist to M.D./Ph.D.
