King of Glory Lutheran Church: "Inspired by the love of God, we are a warm and caring family, using our gifts to reach and enrich others through the Gospel of Jesus Christ." - King of Glory Mission Statement
They are members of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod.
Inspired by the love of God, they use His gifts to reach and enrich others through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
As a community of faith, they do this through ENCOUNTERING, CELEBRATING and DISCIPLING ministries that put us… the Church… in relationship with the community in which they live. They are called in our Baptism to be the “Body of Christ” in the world today.
St. Stephen Lutheran Church: St. Stephen Lutheran Church is young and old and middle-aged. They are retirees (many who have moved to Williamsburg from someplace else); students and faculty and staff at the College of William and Mary; parents raising children; people working at Colonial Williamsburg, or at small businesses in the community, or serving in the military.
They are a community of people on the spiritual journey. They are in community because they think it’s only possible to know God with the support of others who are also on the journey.
Throughout the week, they gather — and then they scatter into our day-to-day lives, the places where God has put us for ministry.
They gather for worship, for study in small groups, and for friendship-deepening. They learn together how to pray. As they practice the faith, the Spirit opens us and moves among us, forming us as citizens of God’s reign, which has begun, with the resurrection of Jesus the Christ.
