Ford’s Colony Realty welcomes the new ownership and management at the
Country Club.
The Ford’s Colony Country Club announced new ownership and management on
November 30, 2012. The Club was purchased by a joint venture comprised of
Accord Golf Capital and Och-Ziff Real Estate. The joint venture brings
together a management team with more than fifty years of combined golf
industry experience and a significant capital provider. The venture was
created to acquire golf assets similar in size and stature to Ford’s Colony.
Traditional Golf Management (TGM), led by Paul Mauk, President, will
oversee the day to day operations of the Club. TGM is a local company
operating thirteen golf clubs throughout the Mid-Atlantic. TGM operates
six clubs in Virginia, five in North Carolina, and one each in New York and
Connecticut. TGM announced that Ford’s Colony Country Club members will
enjoy reciprocal membership in three local TGM clubs, as well as reciprocal
access to an additional nine clubs in the TGM network. In addition to
Ford’s Colony’s Marsh Hawk, Blue Heron, and Blackheath golf courses,
members will be able to play at Stonehouse, Royal New Kent and Brickshire
for the member cart fee of $20.
