"Film & the City" Thursday, February 16th to Sunday, February 19th

The W&M Global Film Festival (GFF) celebrates its fifth anniversary with the theme "Film and the City" and seeks to once again celebrate cinema as both local and global.

The festival will feature films made in and about some of the most iconic cities in the world while also showcasing smaller, lesser known cities, including our very own "city" of Williamsburg.

This fifth edition brings new and expanded initiatives: the W&M Local/Global Student Short Film Competition, world premiers of two "City Symphony" films made by W&M students, Chinese films presented for the launch of the W&M Confucius Institute, an expanded partnership with the W&M French and Francophone Film Festival, special "Movie/Dinner" packages, and two audience programmed late-night screenings.

The Festival will again feature invited filmmakers, live performances, special events and receptions, and films from around the world.
